Q.) During the years of great unrest, what were the main critical club protections adopted ?
A.) Entry forms & procedures: All intellectual property rights from club entry forms belong to the club (and thus ending both the ex-Committee members' any written claims related to any event established before they landed at the club !).
Now a player has the right to be heard before being defaulted !
Credible Committee meetings: Now proper access for Committee members in the event of any 'sudden' meeting rescheduling, now independent RSA meeting venue, now Open Agendas. Removal of possible conflicts of interest. Now any bank accounts must be RSA & audited as such.
Credible AGM's: Now only members allowed to vote, now secret ballots for any Agenda motions, Now two-thirds of present members vote required for adopting Constitutional motions. Removal of possible conflicts of interest.

Early program change backs: (Listed with the much earlier change backs first)
* Change back - the Fischer time control - increment added after every move.
* Change back - having the early program on the same night as the late program.
* Change back - Mount Maunganui RSA venue.
* Change back - great computer pairing settings after explaining.
* Change back - one time control throughout the year.
* Change back - Monday access for some teaching.
* Change back - any player allowed to play within at least most of the main events.
* Change back - the right to be heard if ever a disagreement.
* Change back - freely offered badge tests to Junior players.
* Change back - one co-ordinated program into one club - Mount Maunganui RSA Chess club.
