We have resumed for the new year. (excluding Public holiday Mondays)

Proudly a sustainable chess club in all we do !
In the Western Bay of Plenty - Mount Maunganui RSA.
Early program 6:15pm Monday evenings, excluding Public holidays
for learning players of all demographics, then

Late program 7pm onwards Monday evenings, excluding Public holidays

The region's NZ Chess Federation Affiliated
(and location named) chess club

We hope you will enjoy our flexible, stable, consistent
and sustainable program which can handle all lifestyles.
(as well as our proper procedure standards).

No personal financial gains for organisers
and no outside finance involved in our events.

Accessible for casual players & working class people & all demographics.

2026 Membership Fees in summary:
A player joins the Mount Maunganui RSA ($40 annually) and 
the chess club (Chess club fee is $25 annually), becoming a member.
Players under 18years old play for free and are not members, however their parent/guardian pays a fee on their behalf.

For visiting players, who may only visit, we have a $20 Visitor Membership option for
​2026 National level registration.
